Is het een gebruiksvoorwerp, een sculptuur, of misschien een performance? In CONTINUUM presenteren wij, twaalf vierdejaars studenten HKU Product Design, een selectie van ons afstudeerwerk. Gedurende dit studiejaar heeft ieder van ons individueel onderzoek gedaan naar materiaal, vorm, techniek en betekenis. Waar kan ‘product design’ volgens ons voor staan? In het experimenteren zijn heel uiteenlopende benaderingswijzen ontstaan. Van conceptueel tot meer ambachtelijk en van objecten tot technische experimenten, video en installaties. Waar de één streeft naar spanning, zoekt de ander juist naar harmonie.
In zijn diversiteit vormt CONTINUUM een dynamisch geheel dat we niet als eindpunt zien, maar als een verkenning van wat nog komen gaat. De tentoonstelling is een momentopname in een continu evoluerend proces. Graag nodigen we je uit om kennis te maken met ons werk en je te laten omringen met dat wat ons als jonge makers bezighoudt.

12 students HKU Product Design present a diverse selection of their graduation projects
Is it a functional object, a sculpture, or perhaps a performance? In CONTINUUM, we, twelve fourth-year students HKU Product Design, present a selection of our graduation work. Throughout this academic year, each of us has conducted individual research into material, form, technique, and meaning. What can ‘product design’ represent, in our view? Through experimentation a wide range of approaches has emerged: from conceptual to more craft-based, and from objects to technical experiments, video, and installations. While one explores tension, another pursues harmony.
In its diversity, CONTINUUM forms a dynamic constellation not intended as an endpoint, but as an exploration of what is yet to come. The exhibition is a snapshot within a continuously evolving process. We warmly invite you to engage with our work and immerse yourself in what occupies us as emerging makers.
