The Academiegalerie presents OURYOURTHEIRMYSPACE, an exhibition in the series Apprentice/Master, initiated by Kunstpodium T, Tilburg. The Apprentice/Master project matches talented graduating fine art students from different art schools in Europe with renowned professional artists.

For this episode Anno Dijkstra, artist and lecturer at HKU in Utrecht, meets four students from the art schools of Dublin, Limerick, Maastricht and Tilburg respectively. Together they prepared a presentation of their work, dealing with various perspectives on the notion of space.

My, Your, Personal, Private, Outer, Inner, Physical, Mental, Virtual Space. How do we, as human beings, live in today’s world where space is both limited and limitless, abstract yet real? Does space exist or are we living in a No-Man’s land? Are we living or just surviving? Five artists from different backgrounds and positions come together to investigate this most fundamental, yet at times overwhelming, aspect of our lives.
